Lindsay Thurber Comprehensive Team History: The Lindsay Thurber senior men will be representing the Central zone for this year's 5A championship. We have had a strong season up to this point winning gold at the RDP, U of A, TVT, and Super South tournaments. We are quite excited to have the opportunity to battle for a provincial championship right here in our home gym. Go Raiders!
Ross Sheppard Team History: The Thunderbirds compete in the Metro league which includes Edmonton and surrounding schools. The T-Birds have competed in various tournaments around the province which was highlighted by a first place finish at the All Saints tournament in Calgary. In league play, the Thunderbirds went undefeated in regular season play and then capped off their season with a City Championship.
Our Lady of the Rockies Team History: This team has gone from Division 3 to Division 2 to Division 1 in 3 years. They finished 3rd in playoffs this year. Many of those players were on the Sr. team in grade 10 and have been part of the rise from the beginning. They have fought hard to win many tournaments in the last two years and they look forward to competing in provincials.

Paul Kane High Team History: The Paul Kane Senior Boys volleyball team wrapped up the Division 1 Edmonton Metro regular season in sixth place with a 3–2 record. Their tournament campaign featured a standout silver-medal finish at the All Saints Legends Tournament in Calgary. After their impressive Metro playoff run, Paul Kane now enters the 2025 5A Volleyball Provincials as the No. 5 seed.
Charles Spencer High Team History: We had a good start to the season which of course was interrupted for everyone in October. This really impacted us up in Grande Prairie as we missed 3 of our most important competitions of the year and an opportunity to play against the other 5A teams. We did win the Northwest Polytechnic Howler and then reached the final in our own tournament in early November. We are looking forward to competing at the first 5A Provincial Championships.
Lethbridge Collegiate Institute Team History: The Rams qualified for provincials by beating Chinook High School in the south zone finals
Volleyball - Stringam
Jasper Place Team History: We had a 4-0 record in league play prior to the strike. We also finished 4th at the Harry Ainlay TVT tournament. We lost our quarter final to Salisbury and received a wildcard to the provincial championships.
Lillian Osborne Team History: This was the best season in school history for the Legends. The boys won both the Osborne Cup & EVPC tournaments before a 3 week hiatus interrupted their season. The boys resumed play right where they finished off leaving it all on the court. Despite losing a tight 5 set Metro Quarterfinal they were award a WildCard position for the tournament. The team boasts 2 of the top OH in HS volleyball as well as a top Gr 10 middle recruit and a setter who can get them all the ball!!
Salisbury Composite Team History: These Sabres have a tournament win at their Sr. Tri-Volley and were 2nd at LCI. They lost a 5-set thriller in the City Semi-Final and are looking forward to playing well at Provincials.
Sir Winston Churchill (Calgary) Team History: Road to the Championship The Sr. Boys Volleyball team started the season strong, earning third place at the Dino Tournament. In playoffs, they played with confidence and intensity, sweeping both the quarterfinals and semifinals. Their resilience and determination earned them a spot in the City Finals and a berth to Provincials. A season full of challenges became a story of hard work, comeback strength, and playing together as one team.

William Aberhart Team History: 2nd at Harry Ainley TVT Tournament. 1st at Redmile Rumble Tournament. 1st in CSHSAA League. CSHSAA finalists. Ranked 3rd in the province.

Centennial High School Team History: Great hard working group of girls that have climbed the ladder from a division 2 team just a few short years ago.
Charles Spencer High Team History: This years Mavericks Senior Girls is a very young team with only 3 Seniors on the roster. We started the year with a strong finish at the U of A tournament and continued with a great showing at the Harry Ainlay TVT. The Mavericks then won the Northwest Polytechnic Howler at home in Grande Prairie. Without any competition in October we have picked up where we left off and reached the finals of our first tournament in November.
Chinook High Team History: The 2025 season for the Chinook Senior Women’s Volleyball Team has been defined by hard work, growth, and strong team culture. A major highlight came in front of a loud and supportive home crowd, where the team captured the zone banner in their own gym - an exciting and memorable achievement for players, coaches, and families alike. The 'Yotes are now looking forward to competing at Provincials with pride, gratitude, and confidence in what they’ve built together. Go Coyotes!
Ernest Manning Team History: The Ernest Manning Griffins finished third in CSHSAA regular-season play. They went on to win their qualifying matchup and earn a 5A provincial wildcard berth. The Griffins look forward to returning to provincial competition and competing at the highest level.
Volleyball - Stringam
Harry Ainlay High School Team History: Our Senior Women's team returns to Provincials after being silver medalists in Metro Edmonton. With only three Grade 12s our team look forward to competing at the highest level!

They also are the CASAA 4A/5A League Champions. We are looking forward to competing in the first ever 5A Provincial Championships!
Paul Kane High Team History: The Paul Kane Senior Girls wrapped up Metro Edmonton Division 1 league play in fourth place with a 3–2 record. Their season featured a standout performance at the TVT Tournament, where they earned a silver medal finish. Although a hard-fought quarterfinal ended their championship push, the team’s consistent play throughout the season secured them a wildcard spot and the No. 9 seed at the 2025 5A Provincial Volleyball Championships.
Salisbury Composite Team History: These Sabres won their own Sr. Tri-Volley in September and defeated Harry Ainlay to win Division 1 City Championships!! They are ready to bring their best for Provincials this weekend.

Strathcona High School Team History: Scona is happy to be back at Provincials. The girls have been working hard since the break and are looking to challenge themselves in this year's pools. We are thankful to Metro and the SSA for allowing the athletes to finish off their seasons!
W.H. Croxford Team History: - RVS Silver Medalists - RVS Regular Season League Record 9-0 Graduating 5 seniors and have had tons of tournament success this season!
Western Canada Team History: 1st place at UofC Dinos Tournament, won Calgary city division. Seeded 2nd coming into Provincials. 4-0 in City League.
